Play the above song before you read for the full effect.
(Necropolis is home to the Mausoleum of Terror, one of their haunted houses) (Gene Simmons looks on)During fright fest, some of the normally boring park areas are transformed into new haunted zones, where zombies, aliens, and or wolf-men are waiting around every corner to scare the poop out of you. Necropolis (above) is the main haunted area of the park during fright fest. You have to enter through this gate and make your way back around to the park's picnic area, where they have all sorts of props set up, and enough smoke and fog to make my uncle Brian jealous.
(Some of the new props that they pull out for fright fest, I don't know how the hell they get that gorilla up there)As mentioned above, one of the main reasons that fright fest is so popular is the characters that walk around trying to scare everyone. There are deranged clowns, zombies, vampires, ghosts, trolls, witches, and the already hideous park staff. These people do anything and everything that they possible can to scare you. It doesn't really work most of the time, but on a few occasions they do get the best of you, especially when they charge at you with a chainsaw, ey Murngato?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
On top of all that, you still have all the rides to go on, including a few variations of the regular rides. For instance, the normally boring and vomit inducing tea-cup ride transforms into a pitch-black, strobe lit, and even more so vomit inducing ride that will be sure to loosen your stool as well. The bumper cars go through a similar change, as do a few more of the smaller rides. The biggest change though, is in the water rapids ride. The water is dyed blood red, and the ride is renamed Blood River. It's usually around 45-55 degrees during fright fest, so only a few idiots ever ride it, but it is a lot of fun to watch either way.
Well, there you have it. I suggest that you make fright fest a yearly trip, and seeing as only four or five people read this blog, you probably already do. In closing, I leave you with one of the scariest things that I have ever seen, enjoy.
